  Funeral services for Melvin A. Miller, 75, were held October 30,
at 3 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Florien. Interment
followed in the Antioch Cemetery.

  Mr. Miller passed away Sunday, October 28, at Sabine Medical
Center in Many, after an extended illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Pauline Miller; two sons, Dale, and
Paul Miller of Florien; one sister, Ona V. Bailey of Pollock; one
brother, Pascal Miller of Florien; four grandchildren, Karen
Meshell of Shreveport, Angela Corley, Calvin Dale Miller, and
John Melvin Miller of Florien; one great grandson, Adam Corley of
Shreveport.

  Pallbearers were Scott Corley, Patrick Meshell, William Maxie,
J. B. Maxie, R. E. Conerly Sr., V. L. Leach Jr., Ralph
Funderburk, and James Hardy.

  Honorary pallbearers were Adult 3 Sunday School Class of First
Baptist Church of Florien, Ross Miller of Many, and Heyward
Williams of Bossier City.
