Betty Boyd Miller

  Services for Mrs. Betty Boyd Miller, 66, of Plain Dealing, La.,
were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 1992, at the Salem
Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Leslie
Creel officiating. Burial was in the Vivian City Cemetery, under
the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Plain Dealing.

  Mrs. Miller, a native of this area, passed away Thursday,
December 17, 1992, at her residence, after a long illness. She
was a retired dental technician.

  She is survived by her husband, T. K. Miller of Plain Dealing;
two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth "Liz" and Cecil
Congleton of LaGrange, Ga., Alice and Mike Howell of Florence, S.
C.; five grandchildren, Candace Pinnisi, Kristin Congleton,
Michael, Brittany, and Amber Howell; two sisters, Vara Farrington
Roberson of Plain Dealing, Ruthie Whitehurst of Conroe, Texas;
three brothers, Guy Boyd, W. T. Boyd, and Troy Boyd, all of
Converse, La.

  Pallbearers were Tommy Boyd, Vance Boyd, Charlie Boyd, Bill
Boyd, Fudd Caldwell, and Dickey Oakley.

  The family requests that memorials be made to the Schumpert
Hospice Center in Shreveport.
