All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Rita Miller Mrs. Rita Miller, 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 3 a.m., at IHS South in Many Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with interment following at Pioneer Memorial Cemetery, Virgin, Utah. Bishop Robert Ault officiated. Mrs. Miller will be buried beside her husband. Mrs. Miller was born August 25, 1908. She was the oldest child of Joseph and Mary Ellen Scott in Colonia Morelos, Sonora, Mexico. As the oldest child, she learned many responsibilities of life early. She mainly grew up in Pomorene, Ariz. There she married Paul Gaines Miller on May 16, 1926. Children have always been the joy of her life, righteous living her vesture, truth her guiding light, hard work her survival strategy. She devoted her life to her family, and to her church. She worked with young children at church as long as she was able. One of her favorite songs was "Love at Home". She will always be cherished, and remembered with love. Survivors include six sons, Vernon Miller and wife Anita of Salt Lake City, Utah, Eugene L. Miller and wife Marie of Roswell, N. M., Oliver Talmadge Miller and wife Barbara of Ashdown, Ark., Stanley V. Miller and wife Peggy of Hurricane, Utah, Melvin Miller and wife Betty of Crestview, Fla., and Joseph W. Miller and wife Judy of Sandy, Utah; seven daughters, Pearl Ellen Bush and husband Eliot of Foreman, Ark., Laura May Adams and husband Vester of Norman, Okla., Ethel G. Carrell and husband Charles of Texarkana, Texas, Wynn Martin and husband Marty of New Orleans, Ann Gubler and husband Norman of Laverkin, Utah, Irene Hardy and husband Glen of Many, and Mary Lynn Bush and husband Greg of Redwater, Texas; two sisters, Dora Corbett of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mildred Schilling of St. David, Ariz.; four brothers, Earl Scott of Maricopa, Ariz., Clinton Scott of Fruitland, N., M., Ronald Scott of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Guy Scott of Safford, Ariz.; 59 grandchildren; 119 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; 38 nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
