Miller, 89, of Florien, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, at 2:30 a.m., in the Many Hospital, after a long extended illness. "Aunt Mel", as she was so well known and loved by friends and family far and near, was born and reared in Sabine Parish, and has lived in this parish all her life. She was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at Antioch Baptist Church, Saturday, Nov. 12, with the Rev. Frank Chance, and the Rev. Coda Salter officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. She is survived by one son, Tony Miller of New Orleans; three daughters, Mrs. Ponder Salter of Many, Mrs. Lyn Curtis, and Mrs. C. R. Anthony, both of Florien; one sister, Mrs. B. F. Brown of DeRidder; one grandchild, Mrs. Betty Lynn Miller; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Tom Langton, Ted Miller, J. D. Salter, Luther Funderburk, Monroe Randolph, and Ross Williams.
