P. McCormick of Zwolle. A3/C Charles H. Maxey was driving the car when the accident occurred, said deputies from the office of Sheriff Earl Morris and state police, who investigated the accident. Miss McCormick and Maxey were traveling west toward Natchitoches, and Cox and the Millers were traveling east toward Clarence, when the two cars collided near the east end of the bridge. The officers said Maxey was driving one, but they were unable to determine who was driving the east bound car. Officers have not learned the cause of the collision. Edward B. Cox of Natchitoches, and Odis Miller of Robeline died of injuries received in the accident. The injured were Charles G. Miller of Natchitoches, and A3/C Charles H. Maxey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Maxey. Maxey was home on leave from Malstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and was treated at a local hospital, and transferred to the Barksdale Air Force Base Hospital near Bossier City, where he is reported "doing well". Funeral services for Miss McCormick were held at 10 a.m., Monday, at the Zwolle Baptist Church, with the Rev. M. L. Boland officiating. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. McCormick; and her grandmother, Mrs. Lula Haley.
