The Sabine Index - Will Mains

  15 Jun 1934 - Will Mains, age 19, was drowned while enjoying
a swim in Bayou Negreet about four o'clock Friday afternoon.

  The youth, with two Ford Boys, neighbors were swimming when
heart failure probably caused the loss of control and subsequent
drowning.  The young man was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Mains.

  Funeral services were at Spring Ridge church Saturday, being
conducted by the Rev. Otho Jennings, Congregational Methodist
divine of Marthaville.
