Mains Sr. Mrs. Freeman Mains Sr., 65, died at 5:40 p.m., Saturday, at her home in Bossier City, following a short illness. A native of McLeansboro, Ill., Mrs. Mains had lived in the Bossier City area since 1942. She was a retired bookeeper for Mains Butane Service, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bossier City. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 24, in the First National Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harry Mathis, pastor of the Cherokee Park Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Mount Freedom Cemetery in Many. Survivors include her husband; two sons, John R. Mains of Bossier City, and Freeman Mains Jr. of Shreveport; one sister, Ruth Davis of Walpole, Ill.; one brother, Allen Miller of McLeansboro, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Roy Mains, Elzie Mains, Dawson Mains, Hubert Mains, Lawrence Hogan, and Vernon Hillman.
