Maines, 40, Rt. 4, Greenwood, who died at 9:30 p.m., Monday, were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. George Carkeet, pastor of the Greenwood Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Forest Park West Cemetery. A native of Florien, Mr. Maines had resided in Greenwood for 16 years. He was an independent contractor, a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church, and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Paul Maines, Steven Maines, and Glenn Maines, all of Greenwood; three brothers, Hugh Maines of Shreveport, Charles Maines of Dallas, Tex., and Doyle Maines of Vidor, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Billy Ray Lawson of Dallas, Mrs. Jean Slaymaker of Beaumont, and Mrs. Oleda Kinman of Richardson, Tex.
