Freeman Edward Mains Sr.

  Funeral services for Freeman Edward Mains Sr., of Porter, Tex.,
were held at the Mt. Freedom Church on Saturday, July 25, at 2
p.m. Burial was in the Mt. Freedom Cemetery, under the direction
of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Mains died in the Pine Shadows Rest Home in Porter, Tex., on
Friday, July 24. He was 77.

  Survivors include two sons, Freeman E. Mains Jr. of Houston, and
Bob Mains of New Iberia; four sisters, Verdie Carroll of Long
Beach, Calif., Mary Lee Hoagan of Lake Charles, and Effie
Hillman, and Selma Scaife, both of Many; and two grandchildren.
