Maines of Zwolle, were held at the Bayou Scie Methodist Church on Monday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ray Spiller, church pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Bayou Scie Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Maines died at his residence near Zwolle, on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 6 a.m., following a short illness. He was 64. Survivors include his two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Campbell, and Mrs. Gladys McCormic, both of Zwolle; a brother, Clayton Maines of Zwolle; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Maines was a veteran of World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart during his military career. Masonic graveside services were also conducted, with Masons serving as pallbearers.
