All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Bea Beth Mains Services for Mrs. Bea Beth Mains, 42, of Seabrook, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at the University Baptist Church in Clear Lake City, Texas, where she was a member. The Rev. Henry Adrion, pastor of University Baptist, and Rev. Bill Magee, pastor of Parkway Baptist in College Station, Texas, officiated the service. Burial and graveside services were held at 4 p.m., Friday, at the Belmont Cemetery, with the Rev. Joe Ratcliff, pastor of the Many First Baptist, officiating. Plans were under the direction of Jack Rowe Funeral Home in League City, Texas, with assistance from Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. She died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1983, at her residence. Mrs. Mains, a 1963 graduate of Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, La., was a school teacher in the Harris County School system. and was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association. She was born in Florien, La., April 13, 1941, graduated from Many High School in 1959, and had been a resident, along with her family of the Clear Lake-Seabrook Texas area for 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Mains, and one son, Charles L. Mains, age 9, of Seabrook; one daughter, Nancy E. Mains, a student of Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Skinner of Many, La. Pallbearers at Seabrook were Phillip Barnes, Jon Fournet, George Carley, Barney Leach, John Harris, and Forrest Malone. In Many, they were Larry Hogan, Donald Scaife, Vernon Hillman, Hubert Mains, Harold Brumley, and Elzie Mains.
