Rev. L. R. Cain, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was born March 2, 1916, a son of George and Millie Mims. He was a retired school bus driver for the Sabine Parish School Board, and his Auto Repair Shop. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Christine Mims; one son, Alvin Mims. He passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1990, in Pleasant Hill. He is survived by his wife, Marie Mims of Pleasant Hill; one son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Birdie J. Mims of Gardenia, Calif.; one daughter, Georgia A. Mims of Gardenia, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Mims of Pleasant Hill; one step daughter, Georgia Turner of Shreveport; five brothers; and four sisters-in-law, Henry and Mary Mims, Clifton and Mittie Mims of Los Angeles, Calif., Harry and Ludie Mims of Hodge, Rev. Willie and Sylvia Mims, and Jefferson Mims of Shreveport; three sisters; and two brothers-in-law, Pairlee Mims, Pallie and Caleb Walker of Shreveport, Hettie and Willard Hall of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren; one step granddaughter; three great grandchildren; a great number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
