Bessie Parrott Monk

  Services for Bessie Parrott Monk, were held in the chapel of the
Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert E. Parrott
officiating. Burial followed in the Fort Jesup Cemetery.

  Mrs. Monk, 88, of Knoxville, Tennessee, died in Little Creek
Sanitarium, Knoxville, Tennessee.

  She was a native of Natchitoches. She was a member of First
United Methodist Church of Natchitoches, and a retired registered
nurse.

  Survivors include two sons, James C. Parrott of Harlingen,
Texas, and the Rev. Robert E. Parrott of Knoxville, Tennessee;
two sisters, Maggie Durr of Miami, Florida, and Eula Smith of
Natchitoches; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
