  Funeral services for Mr. Emmett J. Manasco, 79, were held at 10
a.m., Wednesday, March 11, at Alford Heights Baptist Church, with
the Reverends Jeff Hoffman, and Earl Marr officiating. Interment
followed in Fisher Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Manasco died Sunday, March 8, at Willis Knighton Medical
Center in Shreveport.

  He was a chartered member, and an ordained deacon in 1950, at
Alford Heights Baptist Church.

  Survivors include his wife, Vessie Manasco of Many; one son,
Emmett Darrell "Butch" Manasco of Many; four sisters, Wessie
Smith of Glenmora, Dorothy Smith of Many, Lena Townson of
Natchitoches, and Elsie Ray Sandel of Florien; three brothers,
Rubin Manasco of Florien, Claudie Jones of Shreveport, and
Clarence Jones of Many; three grandchildren, Savannah Diane
Manasco, Brian David Manasco, and Bradley Darrell Manasco; and a
host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Manasco.
