Rubin Manasco (Photo)

  Funeral services for Rubin Manasco, age 76, of Florien, were
held on Monday, April 27, at Alford Heights Baptist Church in
Many, at 10 a.m.

  The Rev. Mack Brister officiated. Burial was held in the Fisher
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Manasco died on Friday, April 24, at his residence in
Florien, La.

  He is survived by his wife, Lovie Eason Manasco; two sons, John
Rubin Manasco of Florien, and Rodney L. Manasco of Dallas, Tex.;
four daughters, Mrs. Robbie Edwards of Florien, Alice Faye
Remedies of Florien, Nelda Kaye Caudill of Ore City, Tex., and
Mrs. R. E. (Judy) Conerly of Florien; four sisters, Wessie Smith
of Glenmora, La., Elsie Raye Sandel of Florien, Dorothy Smith of
Many, and Leana Townson of Marthaville; two brothers, Claudie
Jones of Shreveport, and Clarence (Pete) Jones of Many; twenty
grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Butch Manasco, Michael Thaxton, Keith Manasco,
Tony Caudill, Robert Salter, and Kenny Lynn Nash. Honorary
pallbearers were Joel Weldon, Troy Thaxton, Chris Phillips,
Ronnie Turner, and Jason Vines.

  Mr. Manasco was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett Manasco;
and two sisters, Florence Eason, and Gladys Sanders.
