Herbert P. Maines

  Funeral services for Herbert P. Maines, 69, were held at 3 p.m.,
Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Goldonna Baptist Church.

  Mr. Maines, a retired farmer, died Sunday, in Natchitoches,
after a long illness. He was a native of Sabine Parish, and a
member of the First Baptist Church.

  Survivors are his widow; five sons, Jim Maines of Mansfield, Tom
Maines of Goldonna, Mark Maines of Florien, Riley Maines of
Marlendale, and Dick Maines of Natchitoches; two sisters, Mrs.
Gladys Webb of Fort Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Hattie Hennegan of
Marthaville.
