Funeral rites were held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 9 a.m., Wednesday, with the Rev. S. J. Dekewer officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Vandegaer. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery at Many, under direction of First National Funeral Home of Natchitoches. A rosary was recited at 7:30, in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Maines was secretary of the American Cancer Society of Natchitoches Parish, and co-chairman of the cancer drive in the parish in 1962. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Woman's Club. She was a native of Many, but had lived most of her life in Natchitoches. Survivors include her husband, Henry E. Maines; her mother, Mrs. Cecil Armstrong Andries of Many; one daughter, Rachel Ann Maines of Natchitoches; two sons, Richard Maines of Fort Polk, and William Thomas Maines of Natchitoches; three sisters, Mrs. L. R. Pugh of Minden, Mrs. F. A. Hunter Jr. of Shreveport, and Mrs. J. W. Gandy of Many; four brothers, J. C., H. A., and H. W. Andries, all of Many, and T. L. Andries of Jackson, Mississippi.
