Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 In loving memory of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. Maybell, a homemaker, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, surrounded by her family at DeSoto Regional Health System, after a long illness. A native and life-long resident of Louisiana, she was born February 23, 1918, in Converse. She lived her life to the fullest, up to the last moment. Death never took her. When the time was right, she gladly gave herself unto the Lord. Maybell was known for her devotion to the rosary and her life-long commitment to God and family. This kind and gentle woman will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was the most beautiful woman in the world. She is survived by her son and two daughters, and her daughter-in-law and two sons-in-law, Manuel Joseph Manshack Jr. and Barbara Manshack, Patricia Ann Manshack Ebarb, and Richard Travis Ebarb Sr., Margaret Sue Manshack Vines, and James Lynn Vines; her brother and sister, George C. Paddie, and Audrey Manshack Greene; as well as 22 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Manuel Joseph Manshack Sr.; her parents, John Sidney Paddie and Mollie Elizabeth Brown Paddie; her son, Sam Harvey Manshack; her daughter, Mollie Ruth Manshack Meshell; her brothers, Monroe Paddie, and Sam Paddie; her sisters, Rita Manshack Wilson, Mary Manshack Santos; her grandchildren, Sandra Renee Manshack, Vincent Scott Ebarb, and Ronnie Joe Manshack; and her great grandchild, Travis Chase Manshack. The family would like to recognize with special thanks Dr. Denis Kamberov for never giving up; the entire staff at DeSoto Regional Health System; the Rev. Kenneth Williams, and the Rev. Robert Hannigan, for their friendship and spiritual guidance, and all the many churches and individuals who have prayed for their mother, and given their support to the family. On Wednesday, Jan. 22, religious services were conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Williams at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Noble at 3 p.m. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
