She was an active member of her community, and Union Baptist Church. A homemaker, loving mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Mancil lived a full and happy life. She participated in LSU Extension Homemakers and 4-H Clubs. She was well known for many special dishes, but best remembered for her homemade rolls. She was preceded in her death by her parents, Lawrence Eugene Salley and Essie Mills Salley. Survivors include her husband Milton, of 57 years; son, Michael and wife Lou of Midland, Texas; grandson, Mike Jr. of Baton Rouge; and granddaughter, Heather, presently a missionary in Kenya, Africa. Mrs. Mancil will be missed by family and friends. The Rev. Glen Howard officiated at the services held at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, March 16. Interment followed at Belmont Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to family and friends for their prayers, and acts of kindness. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
