Funeral rites were conducted at First Baptist church, Many at 3 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. J. D. Scott, assisted by Rev. C. W. Williams and Rev. Charles S. Miers. Pallbearers were: J. T. Dees, Jr., Milton Hall, Ralph Ward, Willie Williams, Keith Jackson, John Blake, Jr., and Jack LaFitte. Interment was under direction Massingill funeral home. Surviving relatives include, husband, Capt. G. J. (Tommy) Mandina, Camp Hood, Texas; parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Salter, Many; brothers, Leon D., Shreveport, Ernest E., Eunice, Elton F., Many, Norman, Eunice, James Kirk, Euncie; sisters, Mrs. Devonia Willard, Cedar Grove, Mrs. Ruth LaCour, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Leona Wright, Shreveport, Mrs. Georgia Gardner, Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Thelma Davenport, El Paso, Texas, Miss Exa Salter, Beaumont, Texas, Miss Juanita Salter, Many; seven nieces and five nephews. Mrs. Mandina graduated from Many high school in 1944, then attended Northwestern state college, Natchitoches, majoring in physical education. She was married to Capt. G. J. Mandina, Son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mandina, Shreveport. The wedding took place at Camp Polk.
