James A. Minton

  Services for James A. Minton, 73, were held December 6, at the
E. E. Stringer Funeral Chapel in Kirbyville, Tex. Rev. Devere
Sanson officiated. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery in
Many, with Rev. E. E. Walker holding graveside services.

  Mr. Minton, a native of Sabine Parish, died December 4, after an
extended illness. He retired from the Newton County School
System, after 35 years service.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Hector and Anna V.
Minton.

  Survivors include his wife, Camille Hendricks Minton; one son
and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Minton and Brinda; granddaughter,
Cindy Minton; and one sister, Maudine Barg.
