Bro. W. L. Sandiford officiated, and interment followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Manning, 66, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1983, at 6:20 a.m., at his residence in Florien. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Manning of Florien; three sons, James Manning, Baton Rouge, Johnny Manning, and Curtis Manning, both of Natchitoches; one daughter, Mrs. Kathy Ann Martin Walker; his mother, Mrs. Sally Cook Manning, Leesville; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Small, Fisher, and Mrs. Edna Miller, Leesville; one brother, Leon Manning, Leesville; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Donald Bush, George Howard Manning, Barry Goss, M. G. Anthony, Gordon Anthony, and V. L. Leach.
