Mrs. Moore was born March 2, 1914 in Toro to James Elias and Callie Savell Arnold. She grew up in Sabine Parish in Little Flock Community. She married Carl S. Moore in Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Moore worked for J. C. Penney as a sales clerk and retired as a supervisor in 1978, after 45 years of employment. She was a former resident of Shreveport where she was a member of the Shreveport Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a resident of Wharton for the past 18 years and a member of the Glen Flora Family and Community Education Club. In Wharton she worked part-time for Sol's Men's Wear. She was Methodist by faith. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mickey Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. the Rev. Ottis Brandon will officiate. Survivors include three sisters, Marie Mick of Iago, Mickey Holesovsky of Glen Flora and Agnes McAllen of Many; two brothers, Willard Arnold of Orange and J. E. Arnold of Bridge City; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Carl S. Moore, who died Jan. 12, 1978 Honorary pallbearers were Cotton Matthys, David Hacke and Bennie Urbanovsky.
