Bessie Murray

  Mrs. Bessie Murray, 83, of Pleasant Hill, died Friday, Feb. 3,
in a Pleasant Hill hospital.

  Services were at 3 p.m., Saturday, in the Rockett-Nettles
Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta. Burial was in Springville
Cemetery.

  She is lying in state in the home of Doris James.

  Survivors include 10 daughters, Julia Blankenship of Bossier
City, Mrs. Iva Shoemake of Coushatta, Rosie Braley of Springhill,
Florida Bates of Simsboro, Florence Shoemake of Hanna, Mrs. Doris
James of Pleasant Hill, Helen Cole of Lena, Sarah Crump of Pell
City, Ala., Lillian Lewter of Shreveport, Jeanette Gordon of
Anacoco; a son, J. C. Murray of Coushatta; 29 grandchildren, and
36 great grandchildren.
