Moore Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, in the chapel of McGuire Funeral Home in Vivian, for George W. Moore, 84, of Vivian, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20, in North Caddo Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Officiating at services was the Rev. Merlin Liverman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Vivian. Burial was in Vivian Cemetery. Mr. Moore was a native of Noble, but had been a Vivian resident for 55 years. He was a retired lumberman, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vivian. He is survived by his widow, Myrtle Moore of Vivian; two sons, Pete Moore of Vivian, and Calvin Moore of San Jose, Calif.; four daughters, Nettie Lee Shores, Evon Garrett, and Betty Bueton of Vivian, and Essie Minchue of Brazil; three sisters, Julia Lynch of Noble, Odell Wall of Bossier City, and Artie Mae Self of Pleasant Hill; one brother Sam Moore of Noble; 19 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
