Interment was held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. Mr. Moore was born in Belfast, Arkansas. He joined the Air Force at 20 years of age, which started his love for flying. When he retired from Petroleum Helicopter on February, 1982, he had accumulated better than 30 thousand hours of flying time. He lived his dream, loved his family, flying, and fishing. He bought a camp on Toledo Bend Lake in 1975, and when he retired in 1982, built a home on the lake. Survivors are his widow of 48 years, Clellie Batton Moore; one daughter, Sandra D. Stamler; and son-in-law, Lt. Col. Larry Stamler; two grandchildren, Katrina Suissa of Coupeville, Washington, and Mark Jackson of Chesapeake, Virginia; three sisters, Bertha Smith, Betty Walker, Benton, Ark., and Claudia Graham of Whitter, Calif.; and one brother, Morris Moore of Clinton, Ark.
