Avis Leonard Moore

  Graveside services for Avis Leonard Moore, 76, of Pleasant Hill,
were held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1996, at 1 p.m. Officiating was
Rev. Ray Dyess, pastor of Marthaville Baptist Church. Interment
was at Old Pisgah Cemetery in Marthaville, under the direction of
Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Mr. Moore passed away Monday, Oct. 14, at North Sabine Nursing
Home, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Marthaville, and
was retired from the U. S. Air Force, and the U. S. Postal
Service.

  He is survived by two sons, Ernie Perry Moore of San Bernardino,
Calif., and Leonard B. Horne of Indio, Calif.; two sister, Ocie
Mustin of Pelican, and Annie Lee Olliff of Pleasant Hill; one
brother, J. A. Moore of Marthaville; and two grandchildren.
