Murray, 68, died at his home in Minden, March 4, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Pleasant Hill, and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Murray of Pleasant Hill. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5, at 4 p.m., from the Spears Rose-Neath Funeral Home at Coushatta, with the Rev. Jack Shaw, and the Rev. Causey officiating. Burial was in the Springville Cemetery at Coushatta. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Murray; one son, J. C. Murray of Shreveport; 10 daughters, Mrs. J. Shoemaker, Mrs. C. M. Nash, and Mrs. B. Lewter, all of Coushatta, Mrs. R. A. Spears, and Mrs. M. Gorden of Minden, Mrs. E. V. James of Karnack, Tex., Mrs. Cliff Blankenship of Pakistan, Mrs. M. C. Miller of Benton, Mrs. C. Braley of Spring Hill, Mrs. Bobby Crump of Marshall; three sisters, Mrs. Wayne Vickry, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Z. R. Stutts, Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Grady Grover, Bastrop; two brothers, Cullie Murray of Shreveport, Horace Murray of Baton Rouge; 21 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
