She is survived by her husband, R. E. Murphy, and three sons, J. B. Murphy, Shreveport, G. E. Murphy, Conroe, Texas, Tildon Murphy, Doyline; four brothers, L. H. Sebren, Beaumont, M. D. Sebren, Zwolle, H. S. Sebren, Mt. Zion, T. J. Lindsey, Pollock; three sisters, Mrs. E. N. Bullard, Mt. Zion, Mrs. Alice McFerrin, Shreveport, Mrs. J. W. Webb, Sr., Belmont; seven grandchildren, Alvin Murphy and Mrs. Leroy Bush, Shreveport, Harry and Janice Murphy, Doyline, Kenneth and Linda Murphy, Athens, George Earl Murphy Conroe, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Donald and Marilyn Bush of Shreveport, also a large number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services were conducted at Belmont Friday afternoon with Rev. Nelson and Rev. Byrd of Castor officiating, assisted by Rev. O. S. Roberts. Music was by Belmont choir and quartets let by W. G. Simmons, J. W. Webb, Jr, Joel Webb, Cubby McFerrin, all of Shreveport, C. G. Bullard, Stanley Sebren and Milton McFerrin of Zwolle. Mrs. Murphy was born at Belmont, the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Sebren. She united with Belmont Baptist church when a young girl and lived a consecrated Christina life. The large crown attending the service at her home and the many friends who attended the final service at Belmont and the many beautiful flowers were a tribute to one who had live a Christian life and was loved by everyone who knew her. Interment was in Belmont cemetery with Conger funeral home of Ringgold in charge.
