Eldon A. Murphy

  Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m., at the
Beulah Baptist Church, for Eldon A. Murphy, 40, who died Nov. 14,
in El Centro, California. The Rev. Gill of Shreveport officiated,
assisted by Rev. Paul Sullivan, pastor of the Beulah Church.
Interment was in the Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of the
First National Funeral Home of Shreveport.

  Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Murphy of Sarepta;
three sisters, Mrs. Patsy Polk of Shreveport, Mrs. Lola Mae Hall
of Sequin, Tex., and Mrs. Opal Crochet of Port Arthur, Texas.

  Pallbearers were cousins of the deceased, Thomas L. Cryer, Eddie
Gandy Jr., Allen D. McLendon, Force Miller, Donald Murphy, Otis
McLendon, Lynn McLendon, and Oscar Anderson.
