All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index Hosea Morvan Sr. - February 25, 1988 Funeral services for Hosea Morvan Sr. were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Spanish Lake, with Deacon Joe Peltier officiating. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery under direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Morvan, 86, of Shreveport died Monday, Feb. 15, 1988 in a Shreveport hospital of a sudden heart attack. He was a native of Spanish Lake Community, a retired farmer and a World War II Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl N. Morvan of Shreveport; four sons, E. J. Morvan and Fred Morvan, both of Robeline, Hosea Morvan Jr. of Shreveport and Danny Dean Morvan of Diana, Texas; six daughters, Mrs. Penny French, Mrs. Jean Caldwell and Mrs. Shirley Schwartz, all of Robeline, Mrs. Sarah McIntyre and Mrs. Charlotte Alford, both of Shreveport and Mrs. Judy Meador of Diana, Texas; 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, one step grandson, one step great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers were Andrew Davis, Norman A. Fletcher, Gary Niette, Harry Schwartz, Gus Kautz, B. B. Morvan and Don Flores.
