Morris Wiley Gould Morris, 81, of Cleveland, formerly of Hemphill, died Wednesday, April 16, in a Cleveland hospital. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19, in the Starr Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jim Helton, and the Rev. Clarence Howell officiating. Burial was in the Harper's Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Youngblood of Hemphill, Mrs. Leona Glover of Pineland, Mrs. Nora Ella Bragg of Houston, and Mrs. Vera Alice Aeraman of Conroe; three sons, Jack Morris of Houston, J. W. Morris of Arkansas, and Herman Morris of Louisiana; 24 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren; one brother, M. C. Morris of Livingston; six sisters, Mrs. Louella McFarland of Negreet, La., Mrs. Hattie McFarland, and Mrs. Sudie Meeks, both of Pineland, Mrs. Minnie McFarland of Jasper, Mrs. Jessie Ener of Yellowpine, and Mrs. Lillian Schultz of Buma.
