Morris of Many, passed away at the age of 69, Thursday, April 5, 1984, at 11:15 a.m., in the Sabine Medical Center, following a short illness. Mr. Morris was a former member of the Sabine Parish School Board, having served 12 years, and a deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Many, where he was a member. He retired in 1983, as a salesman for Lowrey Chevrolet in Many. He is survived by his wife, Thelma of Many; his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Marcia Morris of Shreveport; a brother, Grady Morris of New Orleans; an uncle, Luther Bill Williams of Many; an aunt, Mrs. Robert Armour of Many; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m., in the Calvary Baptist Church in Many. Interment was in Fenders Cemetery. The services were officiated by Rev. Bobby Dye, pastor of Calvary Baptist, and Rev. J. P. King. Arrangements were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Pallbearers were Benny Funderburk, Larry Skinner, Randy Veuleman, David Cash, A. J. Allen, Shelton Roark, David Barnhill, and Butch Manasco. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
