All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Katie Beulah Miers Mrs. Katie Beulah Miers, born in Elmont, Tex., on Oct. 10, 1889, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Bradford, died on Friday, Sept. 6, 1985, at 1:30 a.m. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. R. L. Miers, a Baptist minister, who had served nearly fifty years in the ministry, up until his death July 9, 1954. Coming originally from Louisiana, she is survived by her sons, Robert J. Miers, and William J. Miers, both of Albuquerque, and Raymond L. Miers and wife, Mirtes of Rio Rancho; daughters, Mrs. Grace Bostick, and Mrs. Ruth Green and husband Fred, all of Albuquerque, Mrs. Carolyn Talbot and husband Howard of Rio Rancho, and Mrs. Mildred Leeson of Houston; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great, and great-great grandchildren She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, and was employed by T. W. A. for 14 years, but was primarily a homemaker, raising her family. Services were held on Monday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m., at Temple Baptist Church, with Rev. J. Curtis Goldman, and Rev. Rick Cochran officiating. Pallbearers were Leon Bostick, Royce Bostick, John Miers, Robert Green, Ray Leeson, and Paul Talbot. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Talbot, Fred Green, and Al Bobbin. Interment followed the ceremony in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Temple Baptist Mission Fund, 1613 Arizona, N. E. Albuquerque, N. M., 87110
