All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Thomas Marsh Three members of a family were killed, and four other persons injured, three critically, in a two car collision near Hornbeck, about 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4. Killed were Thomas K. Marsh, 37, of Florien; his 3 year old son, Thomas, and Marsh's father-in-law, Joseph Fred Poe, 58, of Leesville. The injured included Marsh's wife, and his two other children, ages 7 and 3 months, and Mrs. Poe. Mrs. Marsh and her two children are in critical condition in Broyles Hospital in Leesville. Mrs. Poe was not believed to have been seriously injured. Mrs. Marsh received a broken arm and other injuries, and the baby received a broken arm and back. The Marshes and Poes were in a car traveling south, when they were sideswiped by a car driven by Aaron Leon Goings, 27, of Shelbyville, Tex. Goings was not seriously injured. State police said Goings is being held in the Vernon Parish jail on charges of three counts of negligent homicide.
