Morgan, 58, of Bossier City, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Dr. Fred Lowery, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bossier City, and the Rev. Tom Cole, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lafayette, La., officiated. Burial was at Hill Crest Cemetery. Mr. Morgan, a resident of Bossier City for 36 years, died at 1 a.m., Sunday, December 4, 1983, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a short illness. He was born in Kerens, Texas. Mr. Morgan had been the maintenance superintendent at First Baptist Church of Bossier City for the past 17 years, where he was a member and deacon. He is survived by his wife, Hazel G. Morgan, and his mother, Vera Mae Morgan of Bossier City; three sons, Barry L. Morgan of Overton, Texas, Alan C. Morgan of Shreveport, and Mark L. Morgan of Longview, Texas; one daughter, Cindy Harrell of Bossier City; three sisters, Edna Hicks, and Mildred Yates of Bossier City, and Jo Jennings of Marthaville, La.; one brother, Dewey W. Morgan of Haughton, La.; five grandchildren.
