All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Dorothy Barron Morgan Funeral services for Dorothy Elizabeth Barron Morgan, 71, were held at the First Baptist Church of Converse, where she was a member, at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 5. Rev. Bob Phillips, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Converse, officiated the services. Interment followed in the Converse Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Morgan passed away, Friday, May 3, in Bossier Medical center, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale A. Morgan Sr., and a son, Dale A. Morgan Jr. She is survived by two sons, Carl B. Morgan of Converse, and Johnny Morgan of Bossier City; two sisters, Freida Barron Matschnig of New Orleans, and Manell Barron Daniels of Converse; two brothers, J. P. Barron of Shreveport, and Doyle Barron of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were deacons of the First Baptist Church of Converse. The family wants to extend a special thanks to the staff of Skilled Nursing Facility of Bossier Medical Center, and special friends, for their dedication and support. The family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
