  Services for Mrs. Verna M. Morgan, 90, of Bossier City, were
held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, at Rose-Neath's Bossier
Chapel, with the Rev. P. O. DePrang, Baptist minister,
officiating. Burial was at Haughton Cemetery.

  Mrs. Morgan, a native of Hoenlinden, Miss., and resident of
Bossier City for the past 40 years, died Saturday, June 22, in
Bossier, following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Waller
Baptist Church.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulan S. Morgan;
three sons, Hugh, Carl, and Roy Morgan; and two grandchildren.

  She is survived by one son, Dewel W. Morgan of Haughton; three
daughters, Edna Hicks of Haughton, Mildren Yates of Bossier City,
Jo Jennings of Marthaville, La.; one sister, Docie Sewell of
Bradley, Ark.; two brothers, Jack Morgan of Hooks, Texas, Jim
Morgan of Plain Dealing, La.; sixteen grandchildren; 24 great
grandchildren.

  Grandsons served as pallbearers.
