Mrs. Anna Bell Merritt

  Mrs. Anna Bell Merritt, 78, of DeRidder, died in Sulphur
Tuesday, July 4, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services will be held this morning at 10 a.m. in the
Beulah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Coda Salter officiating.
Burial will be in the Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  The family requested donations to be sent to the Louisiana
Baptist Orphanage Home in Monroe, in lieu of flowers.

  Mrs. Merritt is survived by four sons, Holman C. Merritt of
Shreveport, Holbert Merritt of Hemphill, and Lovell Merritt of
Many; one daughter, Mrs. Emmett Peterson of DeRidder, one
step-son, Melvin Merritt of Many; one sister, Mrs. Minerva
Bray of Zwolle; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
