Cicero Merritt

  Cicero Merritt, 74, of Hornbeck, died Saturday. Funeral services
were held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Warren Meadows Funeral Home,
with the Rev. David Oliver officiating. Burial was in the Gravel
Hill Cemetery, in Bronson, Tex., under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow; four sons, Oswell Frank Merritt of
Fisher, Nelson Merritt of the Navy, Washigton, D. C., Caswell Homer
Merritt, and Huey Paul Merritt, both of Hornbeck; two daughters,
Mrs. Geraldine Spiers of Newport News, Va., and Mrs. Mary Magdalene
Talbott of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs.
Alvie Stroud of Many, Mrs. Ellen Carter of Houston, Tex., and Mrs.
Gatsey Tatum of Vidor, Tex.
