The Sabine Index - Willie C. Merritt

  23 Aug 1957 - Funeral services for Willie C. Merritt, who died
at Sabine Clinic Monday, Aug. 19, was conducted at 3 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Barney
Flanagan and Rev. Coda Salter officiating. Interment was in
church cemetery under the direction of the Warren Funeral Home.

  Surviving are wife, Mrs. W. C. Merritt of Hemphill, sons,
Melvin of Many, Holman and Hebert of Sulphur, James of Hemphill,
and Lavelle of Winnfield, daughter, Mrs. Olive Peterson of
DeRidder, brother, Cicero Merritt of Hornbeck, sisters, Mrs. Mary
Langston of Ajo, Ariz., Mrs Lilie Ellen Bronson, Mrs. Alba Stroud
of Many, Mrs. Gatsie Politz of Beaumont and 12 grandchildren.
