Martin, 47, of Bossier City, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, at White Hall Methodist Church in Cotton Valley, La. The Rev. Stan Elms, pastor of Praise Chapel in Bossier City, and the Rev. Bob Willis of Kings Corner Assembly of God in Sarepta, La., officiated. Burial was in Cotton Valley, under the direction of Bailey Mortuary in Cotton Valley. Local plans were under the direction of Wellman Funeral Home in Shreveport. Mrs. Martin, a service station cashier, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1983, at LSU Medical Center, after a long illness. She was born in Many, La., had been a resident of Bossier City for two years, and was a member of Praise Chapel Church of Bossier City. She is survived by her husband, Huey W. Martin of Bossier City; one son, Wayne Brown of Reno, Nevada; two daughters, Deborah Lirette of Gray, La., Tonya Martin of Bossier City; six grandchildren; one brother, Grady Simmons of Many, La.; two sisters, Olean Dison of Minden, La., Ewelean Cobb of Mansfield, La.
