Neil Gass, pastor of Life Tabernacle, officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery, near Minden, at 3 p.m., Tuesday. Mr. Martine died at 6:02 a.m., Sunday, April 27, 1986, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, following a short illness. A native of Evergreen, La., he had been a resident of the Minden area most of his life, he was owner of Zwolle Motor Supply, member of Life Tabernacle, and a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Burton Martin of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Roma Kirkley Martin of Evergreen; two sons, Ronald G., and daughter-in-law, Debbie Martin of Hattiesburg, Miss., Connie Mack Martin of Zwolle, La.; one daughter, Rhonda Chames of Shreveport; one sister, Carolyn Martin of Evergreen; two brothers, Billy Martin of Homer, La., Bobby Martin of Tyler, Texas; four grandchildren, Millicent Monk, Matthew Chames, Angela Chames, Kali Martin. Pallbearers were Willard Martin, Johnny Martin, Terry Martin, Don Matlock, Buddy Veuleman, R. H. Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were Boots Hayes, Fred Kennedy, Bob Gates, A. L. Burkhalter, Wayne Ebarb, Glen Ebarb, Marvin Powell, Paul Lovelady, Ed Lovelady, James McComic, Lloyd Murdock. Family suggest memorials be made to Life Tabernacle.
