Joseph James Martinez

  Funeral services for Mr. Joseph James Martinez, 66, were held at
10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Father Danny Walsh officiated.

  Mr. Martinez died Thursday, Oct. 17, at Veterans Administration
Medical Center in Shreveport.

  He is survived by five sons, James Martinez of Ft. Walton Beach,
Fla., Joseph Martinez of E. Meadow, New York, Andrew Martinez,
Randall Martinez, and Wesley Martinez, all of Houston, Tex.;
three daughters, Jacqueline Martinez of E. Meadow, New York,
Angela, and Kitty Martinez of Houston, Tex.; one sister, Laverne
Longoria Parrie of Zwolle; two brothers, Wesley Martinez Sr. of
Zwolle, and Billy Ray Martinez of Shreveport.
