Myrtle Ezernack Martinez

  Services for Myrtle Ezernack Martinez were held at 10 a.m.,
Saturday, August 28th, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in
Leesville, with the Father Henry Becker officiating. Burial
followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Zwolle, under the
direction of the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home of Leesville, La.

  Mrs. Martinez, 81, of Leesville, died at 11:16 a.m., in the Lake
Charles Memorial Hospital.

  Mrs. Martinez was a native of Zwolle, La. She was a past
president of the Leesville, PTA, founding member of the Legion of
Mary, a charter member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and a
Civil Service board member for 11 years.

  She is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Martinez of Leesville,
La., and John R. Martinez of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter,
Paula Edwards of Tyler, Tex.; six brothers, Julius Ezernack of
Arlington, Tex., Nathan Ezernack of Natchitoches, La., Mark
Ezernack of Zwolle, La., Marion Ezernack of Lucedale, Miss.,
Thomas Ezernack of Shreveport, La., and Dexter Ezernack of San
Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great
grandchildren.

  Visitation was from 8 - 9:30 a.m., Saturday, and Rosary services
were at 6:30 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home.
