George E. Martinez

  George E. Martinez, 72, of Zwolle, died Saturday, May 13, in New
Orleans, after a 13 day illness.

  Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 15, at the St.
Joseph Catholic Church of Zwolle, with the Very Msgr. Robert C.
Friend officiating. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Martinez of Zwolle; five
sons, Father George W. Martinez, and Roy E. Martinez of Monroe,
Anthony C. Martinez of Beaumont, Tex., Joseph P. Martinez of
Baton Rouge, and Steve Martinez of New Orleans; a daughter,
Sister Mary Carolyn of Plaucheville; one brother, Herman Martinez
of Zwolle; and two sisters, Elva Ebarb, and Elvina Procell, both
of Zwolle; and six grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Homer Martinez, Wilson Martinez, J. V.
Martinez, Loran Ebarb, Johnnie Boudreaux, and Floyd Lopez.
