Brumley, Sr. 14 Mar 1941 - Last rites for Mrs. J. B. Brumley, Sr., age 79 years, were held at Mt. Zion Baptist church Wednesday at 2:30, Rev. J. D. Scott officiating, Rev. C. W. Williams and Rev. Harry Ferguson assisting. Funeral directed by Dennis-Green funeral home. Interment in Mt. Zion cemetery. Surviving are five sons, W. H., J. B., Jr., E. M., J. D., and W. B., and daughter, Mrs. Lollie Webb. Mrs. Brumley, along with her husband who proceeded her in death only a few years, were among the early settlers of Mt. Carmel cemetery. Mr. Perry had been in ill health for several years, passed away at his home in Vinton Thursday, Feb. 27, at 11 o'clock. Elders Read Putnam and Ray Christensen of Beaumont, Texas, officiated; funeral directed by the Dennis-Green funeral home. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ella Barksdale Perry of Vinton; three sons, A. M. Perry of Port Arthur, Texas, T. M. Perry of Baton Rouge and J. J. Perry; six daughters, Mrs. Lillie Henson and Mrs. C. T. Stewart of Florien route one, Mrs. T. E. Williams 7 Mar 1941 - News has been received of the death of Mrs. J. D. Williams, aged 82, at her home in Napa, California. Mrs. Williams will be remembered by the older generation as the former Miss Lenora Buvens. Her family settled here in 1837. Williams Additions to the town of Many connects them prominently with the history of this town. Funeral services were held in Napa Monday, March 3rd. Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Annie Burdick, nee Annie March, San Antonio, Texas; Cornelia, Alice, Joseph and Alphonse, all of Napa. Among surviving relatives here are Mesdames Blanche Andries, Mary B. Jordan, J. M. Middleton and Miss Sarah Vandegaer, nieces; J. J. Blake and J. B.
