Cordova, age 81 years, were held last Thursday at Beulah at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Durr officiating, Dennis-Green funeral home in charge. Surviving are four children, one son, J. B. Cordova, three daughters, Mrs. R. L. Dores, Mrs. R. N. Cotton, Mrs J. A. C. W. Williams officiating. Interment was in Fenders cemetery, Dennis-Green funeral home in charge. Ross, 66, wife of W. J. Ross, Baptist minister died suddenly at her home in Pleasant Hill last Thursday. Funeral services were at Spring Ridge under the direction of Drewitt funeral home, Mansfield. Mrs. Ross is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. L. Walden and Mrs. E. P. Ritter of Many, and Mrs. Victor Chase, Pleasant Hill; two sons, Hubert Ross, Wisner, and Dorsey Ross, Pleasant Hill; one brother, Drewey Stevens, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Phillips, both of Pleasant Hill. The friends of Mesdames Ritter and Walden sympathize in their great loss. Rev. and Mrs. Ross were well known in Many and at one time Many was their home. Winn 21 May 1943 - Funeral services for James J. Winn, 21 years old, who died on Friday May 7 at 5:15 a.m. from injuries received in an explosion at the Huntsville, Ala., arsenal, were held on the afternoon of May 10 at 3 o'clock at the Robeline Baptist church. Services were conducted by the Rev. J. O. Fogleman and interment was un Central cemetery under the direction of the Drewitt funeral home of Mansfield. Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Winn of Robeline, and a brother, W. A. Winn of Alexandria. Pallbearers were Malcolm R. Hodges and E. L. Hayes, employees of the Huntsville arsenal and friends of the deceased who accompanied his remains home, Lamar L. Waters of Baton Rouge, J. V. Hinton, H. L. Sisson and Ray Brown of Natchitoches. James J. Winn received his high school education at the Robeline high school and attended the State Norma college at Natchitoches for one year before entering the State university at Baton Rouge, where he received his bachelor degree in industrial chemistry in 1942. *****************************************************************
