A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Clear Lake Catholic Church, with Father Norman Joseph Rage officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake Catholic Church Cemetery, under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Nobles, a native of Campti, was a retired automobile mechanic. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret H. Nobles of Clarence; six sons, Johnny Robert Nobles, Jr. of Clear Lake, Johnny B. Nobles of St. Bernard, Lonnie J. Nobles of Baton Rouge, Charles R. Denham of Clear Lake, and Frederic D. Denham, Jr. of Chalmette; four daughters, Mrs. Patricio M. Millstead of Florien, Mrs. Bobbi N. Hall of Alexandria, Mrs. Debra N. Phillips of Coushatta, Mrs. Frankie N. Rozavi of Baton Rouge; two brothers, James Nobles of Clear Lake, and Alex Nobles of Natchitoches; three sisters, Mrs. Vera N. Ross of Reno, Nev., Mrs. Mattie LaVasseur of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Maggie LaVasseur of Powhatan; 30 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
