Funeral services were held at 2 pm Monday, April 27, 1998, at First Baptist Church of Zwolle with interment following at Sardis Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Penfield and the Rev. Ted Freeland officiated. Mr. Napier was a school teacher for 30 years, a Sabine Sheriff's Deputy for 12 years and a deacon t the First Baptist Church of Zwolle. He was a member of the Zwolle Masonic Lodge, H D Anderson Lodge, Scottish Rite, VFW, a life member of the N R A , 96 Bomb Group Association and the Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include his widow, Margaret Napier of Zwolle; one son, James and Karen Napier of Zwolle; two daughters, Margaret and Jim Gwinner of Mansfield and Jane and Jon Hosford of Brandon, Miss; five sisters, Opel Magness, Barbara Leatherwood and Maxine Kyle, all of Converse; Betty Skinner of Florien, and Caroly Martin of Many; One brother, James, Napier of Laurel, Miss; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
